Double Twist Hexagonal Shape Gabion Box
Shri Sai’s hexagonal gabion box is a modular wire mesh container, available in variable sizes, with uniformly partitioned internal cells. Multiple units are interconnected on-site and filled with stone to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures, ideal for erosion control, earth retaining walls, river embankments, slope stabilization, and infrastructure protection.
The gabion mesh features a double-twist construction, where continuous pairs of wires are twisted through two half-turns to form hexagonal openings. Adjacent wires are interlinked to create a non-raveling, highly durable structure capable of absorbing differential stresses.
Manufactured using soft-annealed, low-carbon mild steel wire, the mesh is hot-dip galvanized with a heavy zinc coating compliant with IS 280, EN10224, and ASTM A641 standards. For corrosive or aggressive environments, the wire mesh is further coated with advanced polymer or 0.50 mm PVC, providing uniform protection and extending service life.
Shri Sai ensure 100% quality product by complying quality assurance plan under ISO 9001:2015 norms and meeting the quality standard IS16014 and international standard ASTM and EN.
Why “Double Twist” Matters?
- The double twist in the wire mesh means even if one strand breaks, the mesh will not unravel.
- This gives the gabion box extra strength and long-term stability, even under high water pressure or soil movement.
