Double Twist Cylindrical / Sack Gabion
Double Twist Cylindrical/Sack Gabions are flexible, high-strength wire-mesh containers designed for rapid installation in demanding hydraulic and geotechnical environments. Their cylindrical form allows easy placement in underwater or hard-to-access locations, making them ideal for emergency works, scour protection and stabilization where conventional gabions are difficult to deploy.
Filled with stones and securely laced, these gabions create a stable, permeable mass that controls erosion, prevents undercutting, and dissipates hydraulic energy effectively. Their adaptability makes them suitable for river training, bridge piers, weirs, culvert inlets, coastal defences and temporary protective works requiring quick response and long-lasting performance.
The Hot dip galvanised wire used to manufacture the double twisted hexagonal wire mesh is soft annealed, low carbon content mild steel wire with heavy zinc coating as per IS 280, EN10224/ASTM A 641. For aggressive natural conditions, Further coating of advance polymer / Polyvinyal Chloride (PVC) coating done of 0.50mm thick uniformly.
